The programme is run jointly by UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, UCL School of Management and UCL School of Pharmacy. You’ll learn from each of these world-leading departments about how scientific knowledge can be turned into new social and economic value to make a real-world difference.

This virtual event is also an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Bioscience Entrepreneurship MSc and ask any questions.

Why attend?

  • Learn more about the pioneering Master's programme: Bioscience Entrepreneurship MSc, one of the first programmes of its kind in the world, which develops the skills of business, innovation and enterprise for science and medical graduates.
  • The taster lecture will focus on how scientific innovations can impact the real world.
  • You will hear from Programme Director Fiona Reid, who was also the Founder and Director of the Oxford Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

Who is this for?

This programme is suitable for various students with a science or medicine background who wish to gain a bespoke business school-type education focused on innovation. It suits aspiring entrepreneurs, those who want to work in translational roles or with innovative science, students who wish to work in corporate environments that work with life sciences, and many more. The requirement is for a bioscience degree at 2:1 or equivalent. Intercalating medical students are eligible to apply. Some applicants can demonstrate an interest in pursuing a career involving innovation, valuation of science, social purpose, commercialisation interest or other activity at the science-business interface. Others with work experience or entrepreneurial experience can include that in their application.

Her expertise focuses on complex innovation spaces, the interface between science and business, and entrepreneurial
thinking within organisations. Fiona is a recipient of the annual UCL School of Management’s “Excellence in Teaching” award.

I believe my success is due to the great support provided by SI-UK. I was advised the right IELTS courses to attend and they also helped with my visa application. I really want to share with you my positive experience and I would definitely recommend SI-UK to my friends.
